London’s most beautiful ice rink returns to Somerset House’s 18th-century courtyard this winter, and Poon’s is just around the corner for when your toes need thawing.
Glide, or wobble, beneath a 40ft Christmas tree, then linger for festive food, drink and seasonal shopping in the courtyard. Skating tickets start from £11 for children and £13 for adults.
Skate Lates with Aperol Spritz: DJ nights on the ice from Thursday 12 November, with sessions from 8pm
Skate School & Kids Skate Club: lessons for adults, teens and 6–12 year olds, from 14 November
Relaxed and wheelchair-user sessions: running throughout the season
Poon’s at Somerset House is in the New Wing on Lancaster Place, serving generous, family-style dishes made for sharing.
Before you skate: our £32 pre-theatre menu runs at lunchtime and before 6:30pm, so it suits an evening session.
After a Skate Late: our full menu including late-night Siu Yeh dishes are served from 9pm.
Skating with the team? Follow the rink with a group dinner or a Christmas party in one of our private dining spaces.
Entry to the courtyard is free, and you only need a ticket to skate. Non-skaters can watch from the side and meet everyone at Poon’s for dinner.
