Great Taste Awards 2023

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that all four of our Signature Chinese sauces have been recognised by The Guild of Fine Foods in the 2023 edition of the Great Taste Awards and have been awarded stars.

Poon's Chilli Vinegar Dressing - 2 stars

The aroma knocked us off our feet and the flavour gave us wings. What a perfect, absolutely perfect balance of the 5 tastes. This is blindingly delicious.

Poon's Extraordinary Chilli Oil - 2 stars

This is a complex chilli oil that delivers well on flavour. There are initial savoury, umami notes coming from the black bean with a kick of chilli heat at the back of the throat that dissipates to a long-lasting warmth. A lovely product.

Poon's Premium First Extract Soya Sauce - 2 stars

This is a flavour bomb of a soya sauce! The fermentation process has given this sauce a great balance of umami richness. It is well-rounded and unlike any other soya sauce the judges have tried. Outstandingly wonderful!

Poon's WO Sauce - 1 star

Packed with flavour, the salt and sweet balance is good, there is sweetness from the shrimps, the chilli is not overpowering, and the meatiness from the bacon gives umami flavour.
