Great Taste Awards 2026

Great Taste stars are valid for three years. The Guild of Fine Food believes this to be a fair length of time to maintain an award for a specific product, allowing changes in taste and the market to be acknowledged in the judging process.

How delighted are we that the market and tastes haven’t changed - or perhaps we might be becoming the pantry staples that we aim to be - and that every sauce in the Poon’s range now holds either two or three Great Taste stars.

In addition to our Soy Bean Doubanjiang being awarded three stars, our Fermented Soy Bean Paste and Everything Everywhere Sauce have both gone straight in with two stars, while our WO Sauce has moved up to two.

Our Wind-dried Pork & Duck Liver Sausages and Wind-dried Chinese Bacon each hold one.
